How to list your Mac app’s Black Friday deal for free (and plan the deal)

Short answer · Last updated Nov 4, 2026

Listing a Black Friday deal on IndieMarkdowns is free. Send the offer, any code, start and end dates and a public link through the submit page. We check it by hand against your own announcement before marking it live. Paid featured slots exist, but they are optional and never affect a free listing.

How to submit (3 steps)

  1. Open the submit page (or the “Send your 2026 deal” link on your existing listing).
  2. Fill in the form. It opens a pre-filled email in your own mail app to [email protected]; nothing is sent until you press send.
  3. Publish the deal on your own site or official social account and send us the link if you haven’t yet. We check it and update the listing.

FAQ

Is listing my Mac app deal free?

Yes. Free listings will always be free. Paid placements are optional, labeled “Sponsored”, and never change a deal’s status or the order of regular listings.

What do you need from me?

Product name and URL, the deal (for example “40% off the lifetime license”), a coupon code if there is one, start and end dates, platforms, and a public link where the deal is announced (pricing page, blog post or official social post). The link can follow later.

How do you verify a deal?

We mark a listing “Live 2026 deal” only after the offer is published on your own site, store page or official social account, and we link that source. We do not invent “was” prices or countdowns.

How long does review take?

The submit page says we usually check deals within 2 business days.

How much is a featured slot?

A featured slot is $49 per week (one of 3 Sponsored cards at the top of the homepage); Black Friday to Cyber Monday week is priced at 1.5× the weekly rate. See For makers. It is optional and we make no promise about traffic or results.

My app is already listed with last year’s offer. What do I do?

Use the “Send your 2026 deal” link on your app’s page, or the submit page. The form pre-fills your listing so we can flip it to Live once we see your announcement.
